Excursion en demi-journée départ entre 9h45-10h jusqu’à 13h l’après-midi.

Cette petite sortie est destinée aux clients n’ayant vraiment que peu de temps sur l’île de Tahiti. Contrairement aux autres îles de Polynésie ou une demi-journée est souvent suffisante pour découvrir, cette sortie ne donne qu’un petit « avant-goût » de notre safari en journée entière. 

Après avoir traversé la ville de Papeete, nos véhicules rejoignent la côte nord de l’île et ses plages de sable noir. Ensuite, c’est la remontée de la rivière de Papeno’o qui mène au centre de l’île avec des paysages uniques. Plusieurs arrêts commentés vous seront proposés pour des photos de cascades et de panoramas.

Excursion en journée entière départ 9h15.

Bien plus complète que sa petite sœur, cette excursion vous emportera au centre de cratère de Tahiti. L’après-midi, nos véhicules vous embarqueront pour la montée magistrale au tunnel de basalte pour des vues extraordinaires.
Passé celui-ci, vous sortirez sur une piste totalement vierge afin découvrir le fameux lac Vaihiria. De nombreux arrêts sont au programme de cette journée pleine d’enseignements sur l’Eco-tourisme à Tahiti.
Il ne faudra pas avoir oublié son maillot de bain, pour une rafraîchissante baignade en rivière ou vasques d’eau douce.
Pour votre repas en mi-journée ; vous pourrez l’emporter ou l’acheter en cours de route, ou le réserver auprès de votre guide pour déjeuner au relais du centre de l’île.
Pour des raisons évidentes de sécurité, nous ne désirons pas transporter toute future maman, surtout enceinte en début de grossesse.

En cas de pluie ou brouillard épais ou quelconque danger, nos guides peuvent à tous moments, changer l’itinéraire de l’après-midi.

Journée à Tetiaroa

Après un petit-déjeuner rapide nous prendrons la mer à 6h.
Pendant la traversée, il n’est pas rare en saison (de juillet à octobre), de croiser des baleines, accompagnées de leurs petits. Les dauphins répondent souvent présents et cela toute l’année. Vers 9h le débarquement débute sur l’île, et en route pour la visite de l’île aux oiseaux. Votre guide vous fera découvrir les différentes espèces d’oiseaux : le fou brun, le fou à pieds rouge, la sterne à bec noir, la sterne huppée à bec jaune, le noddi et enfin la grande frégate. Après la visite, déjeuner unique sur le motu. Nous vous offrirons un repas aux couleurs locales et des boissons fraîches. Le reste de l’après-midi sera libre consacré aux activités typiques de la Polynésie : baignade dans les eaux limpides, snorkelling, ballade sur les plages, farniente à l’ombre. Des moments de pur bonheur, relaxation garantie, vous attendent…

This little outing is entended for customers who really have too little time on the island of Tahiti.
Unlike the other island of Polynesia where half a day is often enough to discover, this outing only gives a small “taste” of our full day safari.

After cossing the city of Papeete, our vehicles reach the north coast of the island and its black sand beaches.
Then, it is the ascent of the Papeno’o river which leads to the center of the Island.
Several commented stops will be proposed to you for photos of waterfalls and panoramas.

Full day excursion departs at 9:15 a.m.

Much more complete than its little sister, this excursion will take you to the crater center of Tahiti.
Then, in the afternoon, our vehicles will take you on the masterful climb to the basalt tunnel for extraordinary views.

Passed this one, you will leave on a complety virgin track a few hundred meters to discover the famous lake Vaihiria.
Many stops are on the program for this day full of lessons on Eco-Tourism in Tahiti.

Don’t forget your swimsuit, for a refreshing swim in the river of freshwater basins.

For your mid-day meal, you can take it away or buy it along the way, or book it with your guide for luch at the relay in the center of the island.

For obvious safety reasons, we do not want to transport any future mother, especially pregnant in early pregnancy.

In case of rain or thick for or any danger, our guides can change the afternoon itinerary at any time.

Tetiaroa day tour

After quick breakfast we will take the sea at 6.00am

During navigation, we often encouter whales from july to october. This is beautiful spectacle as the crew do not hesitate to linger to contemplate. Dolphins are often in the game all along the year. After arrival at 9am on island we start disembarqment in zodiac and the visit of the bird island (motu manu). Our guide will show you the different species of birds and the brown booby red-footed booby, black-billed tern and crested tern yellow-billed, the Noddy and the great frigate. After the visit, we will give you an appointment for lunch. We will offer you local meals with drinks. The rest of the afternoon will be devoted to free activities typical of Polynesia : swimming in the warm clear waters, snorkeling, walking on the beach, lazing in the shade. Moments of pure happiness await you

Explore the island on a half day West coast tour that combines all aspect of Polynesia in one compact tour. The drive south takes us along the delightful coast road surrounded by turquoise colored lagoon waters and dramatic volcanic scenery covered in luscious vegetation, waterfalls and geographical wonders. On the road side enjoy the sights of local fishermen selling their daily catch or tradesman selling their fruits and local produce.

The ancient religious site, the Marae of Arahurahu set against a picturesque backdrop provides a real insight into ancient Polynesian culture, lifestyle and values. Marvel at the stunning fern Caves of Maraa, a local wonder, where the artist Paul Gauguin swam in the cool fresh waters with the local population.  

The botanical garden of Vaipahi with its picturesque waterfall, gets us up close to the vegetation to wonder at it’s size and beauty. On a spectacular black volcanic sandy beach enjoy watching the surfers as they ride the waves right up on the shoreline, as we have an opportunity to wonder along the beach and take photographs of the spectacular scenery. 

A stop at one of the prettiest churches on the island and visit the local town hall built in traditional colonial style allows us to encounter the local population as they get on with their daily lives. If the river eels are game, feeding them over the bridge in Paea is fun.

This fascinating tour of the north east coast of Tahiti Nui takes us to the most historicaly rich corner of Tahiti Nui and encompasses all that the island has to offer. Natural sites, breathtaking coastal and volcanic scenery, view points and local encounters are just a few of this tour’s spectacular features. The east coast is often referred to as the Jurassic coast and will interest anyone who likes history and natural beauty. The dramatic volcanic coastal scenery of the east coast is in direct contrast to the classic lagoon and reef scenery of th western coast.

It is from the bay of Matavai that Tahiti was discovered by captain Wallis. On the beach, walk in the footsteps of Captains Cook, Bougainville and Bligh, the mutineers of HMS Bounty, the first protestant missionaries and more recently Marlon Brando. The 1962 version of Mutiny on the Bounty was filmed from this bay. The light house and monuments to the Bounty and Cooks mission to observe the transiting of Venus provide a perfect opportunity to learn about the how the first europeans presence in Polynesia was felt by the natives of the day and its repercussions since. 

The view pont of tahara or Squirnish Hill, as it was named by Captain Wallis, provides a breathtaking view of Papeete with spectacular views of Moorea in the distance. 

The highlight of the tour is the wonderfull waterfall of Vaimahuta in the Tiare valley, as well as our blow hole on the coast with stunning views down the east coast of Tahiti Nui.
